training and compliance jobs
With increased rules in corporate governance, the role of an individual in training and compliance has a central role to play in a global business, ensuring that blue-chip organisations comply with regulations set out by the appropriate financial authorities and government law.
A person specialising in training and compliance must ensure that such rules are met through policy guidelines, management reports and monitoring of company procedures. Individuals pursuing a training and compliance career must keep up to date with a country’s financial regulations, such as the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the UK.
In addition, they must also be aware of related legislation such as the Data Protection Act and how it affects the company’s business. Qualified individuals from either a law or accountancy background are suitable for a career in training and compliance. FPC or similar finance qualications are the minimum requirements.
