A mortgage administrator manages the day-to-day administration of mortgages and mortgage applications. Their main responsibility is to manage the mortgage application process through to completion.

The mortgage administrator tends to be the main point of contact for both clients and lenders so good communications skills benefit individuals in such a role. They also communicate with all other parties involved in the processing of a mortgage.

Good organisational skills are an advantage as an administrator will be managing multiple applications all that different stages in the process. A CeMAP qualification can prove to be an advantage when applying for a mortgage administration job, however it is not essential.
