Our Objectives:

" At Mid Devon we place a high importance on having good quality financial information. This is important for managers to deliver cost effective services and for elected members to ensure proper stewardship of public funds. For these reasons we are embarking on a major change programme within our Financial Service.
 
Successful applicants will join us at a busy and exciting time. As well as the routine tasks of managing the finances of a small rural authority we are undertaking a number of challenging tasks.

• We will be replacing our existing financial systems with the COA eFinancials system from 1st April 2009
• At the same time our Housing Management system will be replaced by Orchard Archouse software
  
• We will be reviewing our processes and procedures to maximise the benefits we can derive from these changes
• We have strengthened our staffing numbers to improve financial management across the organisation
