Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS)
In one of the most densely populated areas in the country, Wolverhampton City Council is constantly striving to offer the best of services to a highly diverse and culturally developed community. An integral part of the Council's ability to deliver rests with its Information and Communications Technology Services (ICTS) department, which supports some 4000 diverse users situated at more than 650 locations across the City.
As a result of this determination to provide improved services to the wider community, Wolverhampton City Council has commenced upon a large Transformation Programme and Strategic Partnership with Axon, a leading technology solutions provider. Wolverhampton City Council is now entering one of the most exciting and challenging periods in its history.
To support the Transformation Programme ICTS are now recruiting in a number of key areas to enhance the existing Telecommunications, Systems Development and Technical Operations teams. The ICTS teams are working closely with Axon on an ambitious SAP implementation which will include a desktop refresh to Windows Vista.
Our chosen core applications focus around: SAP (FI/CO, Payroll / Personnel, Procurement, CRM, Business Warehouse, SAP Portal) and Northgate iWorld (Benefits, Local Taxes, Housing), OLM Care First and also includes Open Text, Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007 (MOSS), Business Objects and .net.
The core technologies are: Oracle, Sun Solaris, Net App, VM Ware, Cisco, Alcatel, Exchange, SQL Server, Bakbone NetVault, and Windows.
