Although you are not normally required to be a qualified surveyor, you will have a keen eye for potential development sites and strong negotiation skills. Most land buyers come from estate agency or other property backgrounds. To be successful in land buying jobs, you will be able to see potential where others cannot.
Training and development is usually on the job. Transactions can take a very long time to complete so many land buyers will be working on multiple projects at any one time. Salary is dependent on success and most Land buyers will be on a commission structure.
